How does my autoresponder work?
Your autoresponder works in four ways.
First, it allows customers to subscribe to it either by sending an email to yourautorespondername@arletters.com
or by filling out a simple form that at a minimum has them enter their email
address. This form can be located on any web site on the internet. Second, it
will immediately send out your first message to each subscriber. Third, it will
periodically send out your follow-up messages (if any) at the times specified
when you set up your message sequence. Fourth, it can act as a mail list manager
by allowing you to contact your mailing list at any time with any message you
desire.
How long will it take to create and activate my new autoresponder
account?
Almost instantly! The whole process usually just a few moments. You fill out the
sign-up form and if purchasing an autoresponder account, you fill out the
payment screen and when the process is complete, your account will be active and
ready to use.
How does my prospect request information from me?
All they have to do is to send ANY e-mail (even an empty one) to yourautorespondername@arletters.com.
Or, they just fill out a simple form. Your first sales message will be instantly
delivered to the email address supplied by the customer.
How do I configure my autoresponder?
Everything you need to set up and run your account is included in the Client
Control Panel. When you sign up, you will also be given access to a complete
online step-by-step instruction guide/user manual to get yourself up and running
right away. The hardest part about running your autoresponder is writing your
sales letters. Everything else is very easy.
I want to add a few prospects manually, is this possible?
You can add prospects individually or via an import function to add large lists.
How many follow up messages may I create?
The PRO account will give you "UNLIMITED" automated follow-up messages
with an unlimited email customers in your database.
Is it possible to personalize my messages?
Yes. Many personalization fields are available. Depending on the account you
have, you can personalize by name and email, or additionally you can program in
dates and 5 custom fields. Of course, personalization will only work if the data
is available. For instance, if someone fills out a form and only supplies the
email address, it will be impossible to customize the person's name (but the
system does allow for a default value to be set so that something like Dear
Friend can be mailed out in a case where no name was available.
May I change my messages whenever I want or is there a limit?
You can change your messages any time you wish and they will go into effect
instantly. In other words, if someone is going to receive message number 3
tonight and you edit it this afternoon, that person will get the edited message
number 3 tonight.
What if my sales messages are really long? Do I pay anything extra?
Your messages can be just about any length you want. We do limit their size to
about 64K, about the limit of how much an input box on an html page can hold.
What if my prospects don't want to get additional follow up messages from me?
Every message is sent with a remove url associated with the message so customers
have a chance to remove themselves at every contact from you.
Is there a master remove list and what is it?
Yes, we do maintain a master remove list. This is a list of people who stated
that they do not want any email at all from this domain. Every time someone
subscribes to a an AR Letters list, that email address is cross checked against the
master remove database and if a match is found, that email is not processed but
the customer will receive a nice note explaining that he or she is on the master
remove list and will give instructions on how to get removed from that list.
Can I block certain domains like hotmail.com or yahoo.com from my subscriber
list?
You can block entire domains from having the ability to subscribe in the paid
accounts. So, if you don't want subscribers from juno.com, you can refuse them
and they will not be added to your list. This function only works with client
initiated sign-ups. We assume that if you choose to manually add an email or
import a list of emails you have already made choices about these emails and we
do not filter them.
Do I lose my prospects request for more information if they reply to my
automated sales messages instead of contacting me directly?
No, you can set a flag that will allow you to get all your email subscribe
requests forward to you. That way if any information was typed into the email it
will get sent to you.
Can I use spamming techniques as a marketing tool?
Absolutely no spam is allowed on this system. We have a very strict
No Spam
Policy and enforce it strictly! Use of Non Solicited Email as a marketing
tool will result in the IMMEDIATE termination of your account. Click on
the spam button at the end of the page to report spam abuses.
Can I change my account name later if I wish?
No, you cannot change your account name. Your entire database is built around
that account name. However, you can upgrade your account to a better level of
service. And, you could get a second account and export your email addresses
from the original account and add them to the new account if desired.
